X Base White Conference Table with Maple Top

Here’s a project we did recently in the Porter Iron Works shop. This is an X shape base made of 3×6 tube steel and 1/4 steel plates. The top is maple with a white distressed lacquer finish and encased in 2×3″ angle steel. The white powder coat is more durable than your standard paint job, and the base detaches so we could move it into the space. This is a very clean and relatively simple design that is very sturdy and very attractive. Total dimensions are 4’x10′. The top is a full 3″ thick.
