Reclaimed Oak and Pabst Blue Ribbon Factory Floor Bypass Sliding Barn Door

Here’s a tricky one! This set of doors is made from our reclaimed ash/oak 8/4 stock. The center is made of the Pabst Blue Ribbon 6/4 Factory Floor materials from the abandoned PBR Factory in Milwaukee. The hardware for this door is what is called “Bypass Barn Door Hardware” and it’s very tricky for a beginner to install. In our opinion, it most certainly needs a header to be done properly. It also requires a lot of pre-planning and measurement with very little room for error. This particular hardware comes from Rustica Hardware (www.rusticahardware.com) Looks neat, but certainly is cost prohibitive. Here’s some pictures of the finished doors…
