Modern Reclaimed Oak & Steel Table w/ Leaves

Here’s a REALLY cool design that we came up with to extend this already awesome design out a little. This table extends from 9′ to 11′ with two 12″ extensions on the ends. The extensions are held in by thick steel rod which holds it very sturdy. The table weight a lot, but it looks amazing. The top is a full 2.5″+ thick made of white oak floor joists from a very old Pennsylvania barn we took down a while back. The grain is continuous from end to end on this top. The base is made of 1/2″ thick solid steel bar stock. It’s powder coated black and the top spans the entire distance between the two supports. It disassembles into 4 pieces for shipping. Quite the feat. 🙂 We love it. Can you tell? Here are some pictures of it before it left our shop…
