What size door should I order? Most barn doors are 6″ wider than the opening and the same height. For our standard 4″ hardware you will need at least 8.5″ of space above the opening. Example: Opening size: 36×80 with 12″ above – This would require a 42×80 barn door with standard 4″ hardware kit.
