Ready to Install materials have been “Straightlined” to prepare them for wall installation. Ends are still rough and should be cut in the field to produce maximum yield. (2-3) different widths are typical, and they may include fractional widths as well. Example: you might receive 3-3/8″, 4-1/2″, and 6-1/4″ for the 3 widths. In order to maximize yield, we try to minimize waste. All three sizes will be uniform, but we don’t round to the nearest inch so that we can minimize the waste and keep them as wide as possible. Original face is untouched and unfinished to preserve reclaimed texture. If specific widths are desired or exact lengths cut, please contact us directly to purchase.
Tobacco Barn Brown is a mix of hardwoods from Tobacco Barns and Feed Barns typically in KY/TN. The brown patina and velvet-like texture of the hardwoods is a result of years of age. Our materials are random lengths of between 5′-12′ typically. Widths (rough) are generally 4″-12″+. Choice of widths for ready-to-install materials is typically done during the milling process to maximize yield. Thickness is generally 1/2″-5/8″. Materials are planed on the back side for even thickness and flat back.
